Welcome to PynamiX’s documentation!¶

PynamiX is a python package for processing radiographs. It contains the following modules:

  • Project Modules
  • Color
  • Data
  • Exposure
  • IO
  • Measure
  • Plotting

There are also some jupyter notebook included in the package that contains a helpful guide on getting started and some basic use cases:

  • PynamiX example notebook
    • Load example data
    • Apply an ROI
    • Find min and max threshold values
    • Apply threshold
    • Calculate size and orientation fields
    • Load some PIVLab data
  • Calculate fibre orientation from a photograph
    • Load example data
    • Show example data
    • (Optionally) apply an ROI
    • Calculate orientation field
  • Calculate bidisperse concentration field
    • Load example data
    • Apply an ROI to remove weird external box from James’s data
    • Get bidisperse values
    • Plot peak fraction
    • Investigate wavelength decomposition
    • Do everything in one go
  • Convert photos of hydrogels to SEQ file
    • Load data
